Setup Guide

2 Install & Run

Install the application on your Windows PC. Once installed:

  • Run the application.
  • Go to your Windows System Tray (bottom right near the clock).
  • Right-click the PlanetHost icon and select Open Start PlanetHost.

3 Account Setup

  • Click the Settings Icon ⚙️ in the app.
  • Go to the Manage Login tab.
  • Set your new Username and Password and click Update Credentials.

4 Port Forwarding (Important)

To allow users to connect to your PC, you must open specific ports on your Router. You can forward the range 37984-38010 OR add these specifically:

TCP PORTS:
  • 37984 (HTTPS Control)
  • 37989 (HTTP Control)
  • 37990 (Admin Control)
  • 38010 (RTSP Control)
UDP PORTS:
  • 37998 (Video Stream)
  • 37999 (Control Stream)
  • 38000 (Audio Stream)
  • 38002 (Microphone)
  • 38010 (RTSP)

5 IPv6 Setup (For CGNAT Users)

Note: If you do not have a Public IPv4 (CGNAT), you must use IPv6.
  1. Visit test-ipv6.com. You MUST score 10/10.
  2. Turn OFF Router Firewall (Required for direct access).
  3. Copy your IPv6 Address from the test site.
  4. Paste it into the 'Public IP' field in the Server Config tab of the app.
  5. Click Save & Apply.

*Note: Not all clients support IPv6. Your host may be invisible to users without IPv6 support.

6 Add Games

Make your library available to renters:

  • Go to the Manage Games tab.
  • Enter the Official Game Name and select the .exe path on your PC.
  • Click Find Image to automatically fetch cover art.
  • Click ADD GAME.

7 Final Configuration

  • Go to Server Configuration.
  • Enter your Username & Password if empty.
  • Enter your IP (Use your Public IPv4 or the IPv6 address from Step 5). Update this if your IP changes.
  • Set the Time Limit for renting sessions.
  • Click Save & Apply Config.

8 Start Earning

Close the Settings window and click Start Server on the main screen. Your PC is now ready to be rented!
